2012 NCHU Chinese Language and Culture in Taiwan (6-18 August, 2012)Posted on April 24, 2012

Instructions:

1.  This program will be conducted mainly in English and MandarinBasic proficiency in English is necessary.

2.  Cultural Courses are inclusive of the following topics: The Art of Chinese Knotting, Chinese Calligraphy, Martial Art, and Chinese Cuisine. Students will take turns participating in different topics throughout the program.

3.  The schedule and activities are subject to change.

4.  The schedule is based on Taiwan’s local Date/Time (Standard time zone: UTC/GMT +8 hours; for more info: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock)

Financing and Personnel Support:

For 2012 Program, NCHU will provide for your accommodation, tuition for Chinese and Cultural Courses, and field-trip costs of the program. FREE airport shuttle (shift details will be provided later) will be offered on August 6 & August 18 from/to Taipei International Airport (TPE) to/from NCHU. Due to safety concerns, please arrange the flight during 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Taipei Time).

Participants need to pay for their own round-trip flight ticketsNT$2,000 in cash for the utilities at the dorm on the arrival day, and other personal expenses (NT$80-200/per ordinary meal).
