Posted on October 9, 2012
On behalf of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the graduation ceremony and conferred the diplomas upon KMUTT graduates for the 2010 academic year on October 4, 2012 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn delivered the commencement address to 4,074 graduates (2,585 for Bachelor’s degree, 1,416 for Master’s degree, and 73 for Doctorate degree):
‘To achieve significant success with real and genuine benefits, it is necessary for a person to have great determination. That is, one must commit to the work as though one clearly and definitively understands the processes involved as well as the goal itself. Therefore, one must intend to successfully accomplish the purpose of the work.
While working, if there is anything that distracts the mind from the attainment of the goal such as laziness, boredom, depression or an enticement, one must disregard the distraction immediately in order to commit oneself to the work and only focus on the task at hand.
Graduates must be determined to effectively achieve goals that will greatly benefit people from all walks of lives.
In the name of His Majesty, the King, I wish all the graduates and everyone who has gathered here today for this ceremony happiness, success and prosperity always.’
