SIT student won first runner-up in Thailand’s Network Security Contest 2012

Mr. Pichaya Morimoto – a student in Computer Science (CS), School of Information Technology, King Monkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) – together with students from other universities under the team name ‘Connectify’ won the first runner-up position and received the prize of 40,000 Baht from “Thailand’s Network Security Contest 2012”. The contest was organized by UniNet, Office of the Higher Education Commission and The Communication Solution Ltd. (TCS) on 8th February, 2013 at the Anoma Hotel, Bangkok.
This year, there were 265 teams from all over the country, participating in the contest. They qualified by a written exam, and only twelve teams were selected for the final round. The twelve successful teams were required to analyse data from a computer in a network by various methods. The judges thought the Connectify team did a great job, and awarded the team a prize.
