Collaboration with University of Aizu, Japan

The delegation from University of Aizu, Japan lead by Vice President, Prof. Dr. Shigaku Tei accompanied by the Director of Office for Strategy of International Programs, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Tatsuki Kawaguchi and Adjunct Asst Prof. Dr. Jian Chen  visited KMUTT to talk about the various possibilities of collaboration.

In this context, it is worthwhile to mention that University of Aizu is specialized in Computer Science and Engineering and 40% of its faculty members are from overseas. It is also one of the Top Global Universities in Japan out of the 37 such universities which have been selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in Japan.

The delegation was welcomed on the behalf of KMUTT by the Vice President for Internationalisation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornapit Darasawang, There were members from Dept. of Computer Engineering and School of Information Technology along with representatives from the International Affairs Office who had a meeting with the delegation.

In the meeting, several discussions took place on the prospects of faculty and student exchange. Potential internship opportunities for the students were offered by both the universities.

Both sides were interested to have a joint collaboration to execute Global 3+2 Program which would be a comprehensive Bachelor and Master Degree.

It was agreed in the meeting to execute a Memorandum of Understanding in between University of Aizu and KMUTT.
