A Visit from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan

On the 1st of May 2017, 5 delegates from Department of Biological Science and Technology, the EE-CS International Graduate Program, the College of Science and the Institute of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan led by Prof. Dr. Chung-Ping CHUNG, Associate Dean of College of Computer Science were warm welcomed by
Asst. Prof. Dr. Thiradet Jiarasuksakun, Dean, Faculty of Science and KMUTT delegates from Faculty of Science, School of Bioresources and Technology, Department, Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and the International Affairs Office, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) is one of Taiwan’s leading research universities especially in term of Science and Technology. Their engineering and computer science departments are the largest, most notable, and highest achieving research faculties in Taiwan. They have been named among the world’s top 50 University in term of computer science.
In the meeting, both universities shared University/College/Institution/Program information and exchanged views. NCTU and KMUTT see an opportunity to develop double degree programs, student exchange and visiting professor. They also agreed to work forward on an agreement between EECS International Graduate Program, NCTU and Department, Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
